Terra Lusa Lovers’ Handkerchiefs Notebook

The “lenços de namorados,” symbols of a courting ritual, first appeared in the 17th century in noble salons and were later adopted by the women of the people, who gave them their own characteristics. In celebration of love and passion, the “lenços de namorados” or “lenços de pedido” aimed, according to Minho tradition, to win the suitor’s heart. After years of neglect, the “lenços de namorados” resurfaced as an icon of Portuguese culture.

The “Lenços dos Namorados do Minho” are an artisanal product certified by Adere-CERTIFICA, with a Registered Trademark through Geographical Indication belonging to Adere-Minho.

The Terra Lusa brand presents several collections of products, each a tribute to the Cultural Heritage of Portugal. Among the products are notebooks, fans, eco bags, mini umbrellas, glasses cases, and microfiber cloths. All divided into themes inspired by typical Portuguese elements.

These notebooks have a hard cover, A5 size (15 x 21 cm), 200 plain pages of 80gr, an interior pocket, a ribbon bookmark, and an elastic closure.
